A FairyTale with my Higher Authority

Let me tell a tale
Of a boy and a girl,
Who met by fate.
Love blossomed in the air
But they were afraid.

They met, chatted
Afterwards had a cocktail.
The wine did it’s effect
Slowly he expressed.
The girl blushed
And said “yes”.

The girl, in her, surprised
Was it right? Was it wrong?
Like they say, “Life’s an adventure, just play”
She played along
And never regretted.

Like a princess, he treated
Poems for her, he penned
Songs for her, he sang
Together they made, everything seem perfect.
Love is never lost, it’s said
Nor was theirs, they enjoyed.
